The vision of our village is to encourage interactions between people and enrich our lives with the pleasure of cooperation and friendship. We care about the earth and are committed to environmentally sustainable practices and building techniques.

Our site consists of 34 individual units built on 6.8 acres in Corvallis, Oregon in the Willamette Valley. The community was launched in 1999 and move-in took place in the fall of 2007.

The large Common House is our source of community activities and meals, and includes a multipurpose room, kitchen/pantry, guest room, living room, kids play room, and laundry/game room.

We have a long list of standard sustainability features (from solar panels to low-flow toilets), but the most important and powerful sustainability feature is community.

A Home In Community is a non-profit organization that helps low-income adults with disabilities live in cohousing communities where they can easily connect with neighbors.
