CoHoots had a triple-play celebration of the New Year.
The annual flotilla on Crystal Lake featured fewer boats but many more spectators (aka cheering section) than previous years. The water level was very, very low which provided a much larger bank for launching boats.
A quick rinse of a canoe was followed by wonderful aromas coming from the common house.
A soup and bread potluck featured new soups showing up over a period of several hours.
CoHo kids had initiated a Secret New Year Buddy program this year and folks learned the identifies of their buddies. Sometimes there were clues (like handwriting), but in most cases, it was hard to figure out who had delivered special gifts (per the guidelines, the gifts were either homemade or came from nature).
