What better way to celebrate solstice than picking strawberries? Eight CoHoots headed out in the morning to beat the heat and fill baskets, bowls, and bins with wonderful organic strawberries. The farmer said “eat all you want.” Hmmm…in addition to weighing our containers before and after, maybe they should have weighed us.
U-pick strawberries have become an annual tradition at CoHo. Savvy groups have a “designated quitter” who rallies the troops when it’s time to leave. Somebody has to “call a halt” when there’s barely room for the CoHoots and the strawberries in the car.
