This season’s garlic crop at CoHo was the biggest and best ever, much to the delight of garlic lovers at CoHo’s common meals.
Several loads of garlic were harvested from CoHo’s plot at Sunrise Corner Community Garden across the street (a property owned by Friends of CoHo).
In previous years, the crop had been dried in the rafters of the Bike Barn, but that spot was a bit too hot in the summer. This year, a resident’s porch was retrofitted to hold the garlic crop. The garlic scent will probably influence this household’s menu choices for weeks to come.
